UK Shaolin Xiu Centre Holding the Buddha Bathing Day Celebration

UK Shaolin Xiu Centre solemnly held the Buddha Bathing Day celebration to mark the birth of Buddha on May 27, 2019. there were over 400 people attending the event covering prayer, Buddha bathing, preaching doctrines, delivering and other items from 10am to 4:30pm. Masters presiding over the assembly included Master Jingtong and Master Yanshi from the Medicine Buddha Temple in Britain, Master Runqi, monk Maha from Birmingham Buddhist Temple, Ven. Jingkong, Master Sumedha, Master Huihua from London as well as Yanxiu, head of the UK Shaolin Xiu Centre.









Dharma masters presiding over the event gave a dharma teaching to believers and explained stories about the birth of Buddha as well as merits and virtues of his life during the Buddha Bathing Day. People enjoyed and highly praised, vowing to follow Buddha’s track bravely with effort and energy and carrying forward Buddhist doctrines.



After master presiding over the event bathed the Buddha, people attending the meeting bailed water with a spoon to bath Buddha in turn, showing washing dirt and cleansing annoying, which made body and mind clean and pure, attaining supreme merit.
