From February 13 to 14, with the thoughtful arrangement of Lay Buddhist Yanwei and his assistant Maxim Kojevnikoff, Russian Shaolin Damo Center conducted a variety of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year.

On Feb 13th, the center organized students to study traditional Chinese culture, such as the tea ceremony and the Chinese language. Besides, they also performed shows with strong Chinese characteristics, like Shaolin Kungfu, Taijiquan(a kind of traditional Chinese shadow boxing), lion dace and so on. Futhermore, Shaolin culture lovers enjoyed tea and talked with others in a warm atmosphere, while the students concentrated on learning the paper-cutting, they had a wonderful time together at the Russian Damo Center.

On Feb 14th, in order to meet the requirements of Shaolin culture lovers, Russian Damo Center provided a very interesting Kungfu course for the students. Led by Maxim Kojevnikoff, the students learned basic trainning and boxing routines of Shaolin Kungfu. They all felt excited to experience Shaolin Kungfu, and they said they would continue to learn Shaolin Kungfu and spread Shaolin culture to make it benefit more people.(Editor: Fa Xi)
