On Feburary 13(local time), the 6th day of the first lunar month, Chinese New Year's Celebration was ceremoniously held at Chinese Culture and Community Service Center in Rockville. At the invitation of local government, Master Yan Ruan, head of Maryland Shaolin Cultural Center, took part in the festivity with more than 30 Shaolin disciples of the center.

Shaolin disciples performed the traditional Shaolin Kungfu at the celebration, including Shaolin Virgin Boy Skill, Xiaohong Boxing, Shaolin Linked Boxing and so on, which won loud applause and cheering from the audience.
