On August 15, 2015(local time), the Chinese American Olympics of Northern California was solemnly held at the Union City in San Francisco Bay Area. At 9:00a.m., over 100 Chinese teams from across the United States gathered together at the track and field stadium of James Logan High School, attending the brilliant opening ceremony.

Mr.He Yafei, deputy director of the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Of the State Council, Mr.Luo Linquan, consul general of Chinese Embassy in San Francisco, Mr.Zheng Jianbang, vice president of KMT Central Committee, Mr.Carol Dutra-Vernaci, mayor of the Union City, Mr.Zhu Gansheng, representative of California, and other leaders made speeches successively at the opening ceremony and extended their warm congratulations on the opening of the activity. Master Shi Yanran, director of Shaolin Temple USA, was invited to attend this activity and review the parade on the rostrum with the guests.

128 teams from Chinese community, educational circles, scientific and technological circles, sports circles, commercial circles as well as literary and art circles attended this Olympics, and most of them presented the brilliant performance in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

After the parade, 12 famous sports personalities trotted around the stadium with the torch and the solemn national anthem of the United States. Futhermore, the chief referee and the representatives of the teams made a solemn oath and they lighted the Olympic flame to announce the formal start of the Chinese American Olympics of Northern California.(Photo/News: Tai An)
