January 23, 2014 (December 23, 2013) was both the Minor Spring Festival, one of Chinese traditional festivals and Shaolin Temple’s Dharma protector Bodhisattva Kimnara’s birthday. On that day, Shaolin Temple’s sub-temple Panshan Northern Shaolin Temple held a prayer to commemorate Bodhisattva Kimnara and may the country be prosperous and the people at peace.
