






Shaolin Secular Disciple's Union in Greece organized succesfully a big interactive-experiential workshop of learning the ancient fighting method of Shaolín Luohàn Dui Da. Five qualified teachers included the three neophyte members of Shaolin Temple, Yan Xiang, Yan Qing & Yan Shan with the additional help of Miao Jie and Dimitris Kitsonis, lead the workshop held in Isthmus at Greece, 15 December 2013 in the "Aristotelio" Educational Centre.
Participation was broad of all ages and all levels (more than one hundred persons from 8 to 50 years old) that revived the old way of Luo Han monks "practising with two". The experience of the teacher Miao Jie and the methodical analysis of the techniques from the other four teachers of Shaolin Secular Disciple's Union in Greece helped to complete the basic form of learning and to understand the techniques. Although this set has a degree of difficulty in memorizing, in this workshop founded the basis for further study.
Practically, the virtual battle with two partners, based on the action - reaction with a fellow practitioners that aims to teach effective and direct methods of self-defense with the harmonious way of practicing the "virtual battlefield" with two people. Every form of martial arts training to be comprehensive except that it must be able to withstand any kind of distance from the opponent, short - medium and distant, it also must contains four basic techniques of 打 (Dǎ) the use of hands for attack or defence, 踢 (Tī) the use of legs that include defensive or aggressive swipping or jumps, 拿 (Ná) the use of grip, that lockings the joints and 摔 (Shuāi) like the body fall of the opponent.
The method of Shàolín Luóhàn Duì Dǎ is a excellent sample of practising with a partner as it includes all of the above technics.
