On May 18, 2024, a group led by cabinet office secretory Nikesh Adhikari of Nepal’ s Prime Minster visited Shaolin Temple, watched Shaolin Kungfu and deeply discussed and communicated with abbot Shi Yongxin in terms of primitive Buddhism, Mahayana, culture of Chan Buddhism and others.

The group led by Mr. Nikesh Adhikari visited Shaolin Temple’ s inscriptions and architecture, knew about inheritance of Shaolin culture and also went to the Meditation Hall of Shaolin Temple as well as scenes of the Water and Land Dharma Function for experience, and praised Shaolin Temple promoting carrying forward Buddhism.

In the Abbot Hall, abbot Yongxin welcomed the group led by Mr. Nikesh Adhikari, praised Nepal’ s strong Buddhist faith, and recalled his delegation to Lumbini of Nepal in 1992, the birthplace of Sakyamuni as well as his experiences of constructing Chinese Temple in Lumbini. He hoped that he could go back to Nepal and bring back primary ancestor Patriarch Bodhidharma’ s Chan Buddhism there.
