On May 16, 2024 or the 9th day of the fourth lunar month in Jiachen Year, Buddhist flags were highly hung, the bell and roll rang simultaneously in Shaolin Temple when the Water and Land Dharma Function was formally launched. Monks of the temple concentrated the body and mind, chanting sutra melodically while the Grand Altar, outer altars including Huayan Altar, All-sutra Altar, Lengyan Altar, Lotus Altar and Pure Land Altar were launched following dharma rituals, peaceful and solemn. Dharma masters guided all donors to chant sutra and repent meanwhile all merits and virtues were given back to all sentient beings. The dharma event was conducted majestically and orderly.
