Buddha Sakyamuni’ s Birthday is on May 15 or the 8th day of the fourth lunar month in 2024. On that morning, Shaolin Temple, the ancestral temple of Chan sect, held the Buddha’ s Birthday Festival to remark the birthday of Buddha Sakyamuni. This event was presided over by the Grand Monk Shi Yongxin, abbot of Shaolin Temple. Monks of the Shaolin Temple permanent residence compound and believers of the ten directions delightedly joined, shared dharma joys and enjoyed Buddha’ s kindness.
