On Feb 16, 2018, the first day of the lunar New Year, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center U.S.A. held grand Lamp Transmission Blessing Ceremony to pray for communities and the public while introducing traditional Chinese New Year customs for teenagers.

On that morning, under the leadership of Masters of cultural center, people held the lamp in their hands, offered incense, transmitted lamps and offered lamps. The scene was solemn. According head of Shaolin Temple Cultural Center U.S.A. Master Shi Yanxu, Buddhism, by means of lights, refers to Buddhist wisdom. It did not only light up the inner world, but also the present world. 

After the Lamp Transmission blessing ceremony of the New Year, Shaolin Temple Cultural Center U.S.A. prepared rich New Year’s food for guests. People made dumplings, tasted delicious vegetarian food, experienced Chinese calligraphy and celebrated Chinese New Year’s coming together. (Editor: Chanyue)
