On February 7, 2016, the Greek Shaolin Cultural Center, celebrated the Chinese New Year Spring Festival, which was held in Celestial Dragon Shaolin Cultural Centre, at Nea Smyrni. The traditional festival of the Chinese New Year, is organized every year by the General Director of EPOKES, Master Shi Yan Zhuo, and all the EPOKES sub-centers are join together with their members, friends, students and their families to celebrate this auspicious event. The Spring Festival attended two honored guests, Laoshi George Tsimpinoudakis, a top coach of modern Wushu in Greece and Sifu Antonios Pantelias, of Wu Yongchunquan - Grandmaster’s Lun Gai Foshan Wing Chun.

At 6:00pm local time [12 midnight in China], the festive atmosphere was culminated with Chinese traditional music, greetings, drinking tea, free food, and joy, by the 250 and more attendees, from all official Greek Shaolin Cultural Center Institutions from different regions of Greece.

Then, Master Shi Yan Zhuo, spoke to all attendees about the meaning of the Chinese New Year, the significance of the family, the launching of a new start in any kind of effort. He made a short review of the history of EPOKES and its course in the past year and as well as hard work of Shaolin Temple and Venerable Abbott Shi Yong Xin do, to preserve the spirit and the flame of the ancient temple’s tradition and culture, both in China and abroad.(News: Greek Shaolin Cultural Center)
