On January 17th, 2016(local time), which fall on the 8th day of the 12th lunar month, Buddhist Prajna Temple in Canada held its 1st "Lamp Transmission Ceremony & Vegetarian Gala" in celebration of the Day that Sakyamuni Gained Buddhahood. Yanchong, director of Canada Shaolin Cultural Center, and 70 students of the center were invited to attend this event and gave the audience a wonderful Shaolin Kungfu Show. Futhermore, Buddhist communities and the local government also attended this ceremony.

With the theme of Lighting the Lamps of Enlightenment to Pass on Wisdom, a thousand guests passed the lamps and prayed for world peace, permanence of Buddhist Dharma and blessings and wisdom of mankind.

Shaolin Kungfu Show

During the activity, led by Master Yanchong, students of Canada Shaolin Cultural Center performed Shaolin Kungfu, which won warm applause from the audience.
