On the happy occasion of the 10th Anniversary Celebration of California “Songshan Shaolin Temple Day”, I expressed my warm congratulations on the celebration.

 

Henan is the birthplace of Chinese civilization with a long history and glorious culture. The world-renowned Shaolin Temple is located in Henan. Shaolin culture which consists of Chan, Martial Arts, Medicine and Arts is an important part of Chinese traditional culture. It is not only the valuable wealth of Chinese nation, but also the cultural heritage of human being. with Shaolin culture’s propagation overseas, Shaolin culture is gradually accepted by people from various countries. That California State Assembly and California State Senate designated March 21 as “Songshan Shaolin Temple Day” is of significance to Shaolin Temple’s fame and Shaolin culture’s promotion in California.
