Chinese-Austrian Chang Kai wins “Vienna Gold Medal”

On March 6, 2014, Chinese-Austrian Mr. Chang Kai, who serves as lay Buddhist of Shaolin Cultural Center in Austria, permanent vice-chairman of Shaolin Cultural Association of Austria, chairman of Austria-China Cultural Exchange Association, won “Vienna Gold Medal” to commend his outstanding contribution in Austria-China cultural exchanges.

At the award ceremony held in Vienna City Hall, Mr. Chang Kai accepted “Vienna Gold Medal” from the responsible person of culture, science and technology of Vienna municipal government. The Medal, which was signed and issued by the mayor of Vienna, was the first medal awarded to Chinese-Austrian specializing in cultural exchange.
Mr. Chang Kai is very interested in Shaolin Chan, Martial Arts, Medicine and Arts. He offers strong support to Shaolin Cultural Center in Austria all the time and takes an active part in various charitable activities.
“Vienna Gold Medal” is the highest award issued by Vienna municipal government to commend the person who makes an outstanding contribution to Vienna.
